HOW I GOT HERE
2008—2012 | EcoGuard Pest Management
First, I learned what it takes to earn trust and close.
I joined EcoGuard as an individual contributor and eventually had the privilege of running the entire sales organization.
I personally closed over 1,500 doors, generating millions in contractual agreements.
I helped grow our team from 3 to 12 reps. Recruiting, training, and managing all residential door-to-door campaigns.
I was promoted from an individual contributor to VP of Sales within three years, during which time EcoGuard became the fastest growing pest control company in Sacramento.

Then I took those lessons to bootstrap and sell my own business.
I co-founded a marketing agency with a friend and grew it for six years before a successful exit.
For every engagement, I personally managed the sales process from initial outreach to signed agreement.
I eventually built the scoping, selling systems that allowed the team to continue growing without me needing to be the bottleneck.
In 2019, we successfully sold the business to White Rabbit Group, where I joined the team as a Partner.

And most recently, I helped scale a large enterprise, which taught me my favorite part of the job is still the close.
I joined a 17-person team and helped us scale to over 100 employees. Here is a look at my direct contributions to that growth:
I personally booked over 400 cold meetings using a combination of cold email, cold calling, LinkedIn DMs, personalized video, and physical gifting.
I closed 160+ agency partnerships, which became the primary channel driving the company's 5x revenue growth.
I built a referral program that brought in 300+ direct clients, including major brands like Microsoft, Spotify, The Game Awards, Carl's Jr, and Match.com.
By redesigning our sales process with AI-assisted workflows (using HubSpot, Clay, and Claude), I helped increase our close rate from 18% to 33%, tripled our outbound volume, and reduced time-to-close from ~7-months to ~4.5 months.
I worked closely with our account management team so the transition from closed-won to onboarding was completely seamless.
I hired and trained our internal marketing team and launched a podcast that grew to over 25,000 followers, becoming a recognized voice in our industry.
Note: While my title was Partner, my day-to-day focus, and the engine behind all of these milestones, was always closing new business.
problems I solve
CLOSING.
I've closed over 1,000 deals door-to-door and 460 deals across agencies, SMBs, and enterprise buyers by taking a truly consultative approach. Whether I'm working with technical leaders, skeptical buyers, or experienced executives who can spot a sales script from a mile away, I focus on owning the outcome and guiding the relationship from start to finish.
PIPELINE.
I believe that effective outbound is about finding the best way to reach the right person, whether that requires an email, a phone call, or a thoughtful physical gift. I don't wait for marketing to feed me leads. I've spent 15 years generating my own pipeline, and I love finding creative ways to get in the room and turn those efforts into repeatable systems.
MULTI-STAKEHOLDER DEALS
Having spent years selling to leadership teams where multiple executives needed to say "yes" for entirely different reasons, multi-threading comes naturally to me. I make it a habit to first, identify who the right stakeholders, and second, and stay closely connected to every moving piece until the deal is done.
ACCOUNT GROWTH.
Because I've built account management processes myself, I know exactly what happens when a rep just tosses a signed deal over the fence. I don't do that. I always work closely with the post-sale team to make sure the handoff is smooth and the client is set up to win from day one. When you structure the initial deal with the long game in mind, growing the account later is a natural next step.
THE AGENCY CHANNEL.
This is an area where I bring a very specific background. If your buyers, implementers, or influencers are creative or marketing agencies, I've spent the last 14 years living in their world. I understand exactly how they evaluate platforms, how they advocate for vendors to their clients, and why certain partnerships fail. If your deals run through an agency, I already speak their language and understand their motivations.
Beyond the Resume
A quick look at the mindset, standards, and habits I bring to the table…
First, why am I returning to an individual contributor role?
I've been a VP of Sales, a founder, and a Partner at a 100-person company. On paper, that career arc usually points toward more management and org-building. But what I learned is that the time I always protected on my calendar was the deal itself. Building teams was a requirement, but closing was the reward. I'm making a deliberate choice to get back to being an individual contributor because driving revenue on the front lines is what I love doing most.
Every company should be AI-native already.
Too often, highly skilled people spend their time on low value tasks like prospecting, lead enrichment, forecast generation, etc. Those aren't the things that build trust with clients. By integrating AI into my own prospecting and research workflows, I was able to cut my time to close by 30% and triple my outreach volume. The goal isn't to work less. It's to spend every recovered hour doing what matters: being properly informed and connecting in a meaningful and relevant way with buyers.
I want to be somewhere that excellence runs through the whole organization.
Steve Jobs famously wanted the back of his cabinets crafted just as beautifully as the front. Not because the customer would see it, but because he would know. I'm looking to join an organization that operates with that same kind of integrity. I want to be part of a team where high standards are just the baseline, and where delivering exceptional work isn't a stretch goal, but just a normal Tuesday.
Speed of learning > years of experience.
I've never once gotten a job because my resume was a perfect match. I built a sales team in college with no sales experience. Grew a door-to-door pest management sales team with no pest control experience. Built an agency with no agency experience. Sold it. Helped scale the next company from 17 people to over 100 with no playbook. Every single time I figured it out by doing it. Not by waiting until I felt ready. Give me the ambitious, fast learner over the ten-year veteran who stopped growing last year, any day of the week.
I don't care what my title is.
At the end of the day, my main focus is simple: do the systems I build produce results? Account Executive, Strategic AE, Enterprise AE, the title on the business card doesn't matter to me. I care about the numbers on the board and the relationships built along the way.
